today, i got the letter....., Indonesia. I'm Jefferson, and I live in Jakarta, the biggest city in Indonesia. Maybe there aren't plenty of you that know about Indonesia. Jakarta is a really crowded city, and you will meet traffic jam everywhere, especially during busy hours. But I'm happy to live here, because Jakarta almost got everything. They got lots of shopping center, a huge amusement park, Sea World, etc. I just can't stand the traffic!

Its rectangular shape resembles that of ancient shields and symbolizes protection. During the Chinese New Year celebration children are gifted with money in red envelopes. To receive money in a red envelope is considered to be lucky for the person who gives it and for the person who receives it. The person who receives the “remedy” places the money or check in a red envelope and gives it to the Feng Shui practitioner. This exchange creates an auspicious bond between the practitioner and the client. Using the red envelope shows the recipient’s sincere intention and respect for the knowledge shared at a consultation and protects the client and practitioner as well as the teachings and ancient traditions. Use of the red envelope also strengthens and enhances the effectiveness of Feng Shui information. Each night the Feng Shui practitioner places all the red envelopes under his/her pillow and sleeps on them, offering blessings and reinforcing the positive intentions to all those who shared in the Feng Shui experience. In the morning the practitioner removes the money and saves all red envelopes to be burned on an auspicious day. collector.

A Plethora of Postcards, Mary San Francisco, California, United States I've been sending and receiving postcards for over 30 years. When I travel, I send a postcard to myself, even if it's just a one day business trip. I badger my friends to send me postcards when they go on trips. I collected postcard ads from those free postcard dispensers, that used to be found near bathrooms and phone booths in public places around the world. I have a scrapbook of postcards, sent between 1902 and 1905 to my great grandfather from an aunt, who appears to have been traveling extensively around Europe. After seeing so many wonderful blogs about philatelic covers, postcards and related items I felt that I could bring my own experiences and exchanges for all to see. I enjoy making my own covers and numbering them so that everybody who will receive these covers will now exactly how many there are around the world. I don't pretend to be an artist of any sort, but should we exchange covers you'll know that you have in your possession a piece that is unique and limited. Each month I plan on creating one design which I will present to you and we can communicate if interested. Cover Collector Circuit Club Home Page... USA. The CCCC is the world's largest philatelic exchange organization with more than 25,000 active members in over 100 countries. Founded March 5, 1947, shortly after World War II, its purpose was to assist stamp and cover collectors find contacts and promote international friendships. These goals continue into today. The organization had humble beginnings. Stamp collectors around the globe were looking to re-connect with one another after the ravages of World War II. King Beal of Waterloo, Iowa had the idea in 1947 of forming a worldwide organization that would help people do just that through the use of a circuit form. It would pass among several members and then return back to the person who originated it. Along the way everyone was encouraged to list their specialties and exchange offers. The first "C" in the club's name stands for "Cover" for good reason, as everyone was encouraged to make the envelope (known as a "cover" to collectors) in which they mailed the circuit to the next member special in some way. It could have been a first day cover, perhaps a special cancellation was obtained, maybe a printed cached envelope was used, or even a handdrawing applied to it.
